Weekly pool service from Gil Pool Service includes water testing, chemical balancing, skimming, brushing, vacuuming, emptying baskets and a filter pressure check. Chemicals are included in the monthly price. Most Seminole County homes pay between $130 and $220 a month depending on pool size and tree cover.

We quote per pool, but here is the honest range so you are not guessing. These are monthly prices and they include chemicals.

Why does Florida need weekly service instead of every other week?
Sun and heat. Unstabilized chlorine in direct Florida sun can drop by half in a couple of hours, and water in the high 80s grows algae faster than water in the 70s. A pool that sits 14 days between visits in July spends the back half of that stretch unprotected. By day 10 you usually cannot see the problem yet. By day 13 you can.
Add the afternoon storms. Rain dilutes your chemistry, drops your stabilizer and washes lawn fertilizer and yard debris into the water. Weekly is not upselling here. It is the interval the climate sets.
What we do not do on a weekly visit
- We do not backwash a DE or sand filter just to look busy. It gets done when pressure calls for it, because every backwash dumps water and chemistry you paid for.
- We do not drain your pool without talking to you first. In parts of Florida with a high water table, an empty pool can literally lift out of the ground.
- We do not quietly write repairs onto your bill. Anything over the monthly rate gets a phone call and a yes from you before a wrench comes out.

Common questions
Are chemicals included in weekly pool service?
Yes. Chlorine, acid, stabilizer, shock and standard balancing chemicals are included in the monthly price. Specialty treatments like a phosphate remover or a metal sequestrant are quoted separately and only after we tell you why the pool needs one.
Do I need to be home for weekly service?
No. Most of our customers are at work when we come. We just need gate access and a heads up if there is a dog. You get photos and readings after every visit, so being home is not how you verify the work got done.
How long does a weekly pool visit take?
A typical residential visit runs 20 to 40 minutes. Heavy debris weeks run longer. We do not clock out at a fixed time, we leave when the checklist is finished.
Can I skip service in the winter?
You can, but we do not recommend it in Central Florida. Pools here stay above 60 degrees most of the winter and algae never fully shuts down. Owners who pause from December to February usually pay for a green pool cleanup in March, which costs more than the months they saved.
What if I am not happy with a visit?
Call or text and we come back. There is no contract, so the only thing keeping your business is the work.
